Can I just give Penny a big shout out. Florie has absolutely loved her lessons over the summer, and she's been amazing with her. Penny is so enthusiastic, encouraging, and supportive of each child during the lesson. She's been super positive towards Florie's riding, and we wish she did more lessons.

Obviously, all the instructors are amazing and have helped Florie on her riding journey in one way or another. ❤️❤️❤️

"Brookfield Community School has been visiting Pinkmead Farm with a small group of 11 – 16 year old students.
The first year we followed the Changing Lives Programme without riding and it was very successful with Harriet taking the lead and passing her knowledge onto the girls. This led to one of those youngsters visiting Pinkmead on a voluntary basis weekly for the last year of her school life. She learnt so much and loved spending one morning a week there – she soon found a few favorites and always returned to school with a story about one of the antics of a naughty riding school pony!
This year we have taken 3 students and have also completed some of the riding elements of Changing lives. Ella has been our instructor this time and has shown the girls all aspects of pony care and give them an understanding of Riding School life. She has shown them that every pony matters and each one is treated like they own them personally. They have learnt about their welfare, feeding, stable and field management to name only a few of the topics covered.
Ella has also given the girls a variety of opportunities to ride in different areas of the farm – indoor work on the ground and riding. They have learnt how to navigate their way around the outdoor school and over the last few weeks with the better weather they have been on hacks around the farm. They have learnt that horses too need variety in their lives and enjoy different activities.
On our last week we had some fun decorating the horses and watching them enjoy being pampered."

The staff were so polite and so helpful and welcoming , your yard was beautiful! And wow you have some beautiful horses there . I really enjoyed my lesson and the instructor was so friendly and made it fun and relaxing to ride .i love your facilities , and the opportunities for the future .
I am aiming to start fully in September some time , as our summer is so hectic with our tour schedule we don’t get much down time . However if I do get a golden half day haha , I will be coming sooner ! I cannot wait to come back !"

"I started riding at Pinkmead 7 months ago as a mature adult returning from a very long time out.   I was very anxious and unsure but from the moment I walked on the yard that was completely dispelled by the amazing staff and Instructors. I totally loved the experience, the patience and understanding of the Instructor (Louise) put me at ease straight away and she gradually eased me back into riding with weekly private lessons.

I haven’t looked back!!

Pinkmead staff are second to none and I would totally recommend the riding school to anyone wanting to learn to ride or improve their riding.

In fact I loved it so much I have now bought my own horse who is a working livery at Pinkmead. The encouragement and support from all the Pinkmead team has been outstanding.

"We have been attending Pinkmeads’ Changing Lives Through Horses program weekly since it began and has been life changing for my daughter she has autism and additional needs, and has been unable to attend a school setting for months due to anxiety low confidence and bullying, this programme has made a positive change in her life. "I just want to say thank you, my son attended the own a pony day last week and due to autism and anxiety he has never been able to attend an activity without me being there. He come out smiling telling me it was his best ever day and he can’t wait to do it again which is truly a testament to your amazing staff and how warm and welcoming they all are which has given him the confidence to enjoy riding and the whole experience. "I can't say enough good things about Pinkmead Riding School, I'd give 10 stars if I could. After falling from our family pony in December and injuring myself, my confidence nose dived to the point of not being able to get back in the saddle. After talking to Pinkmead, I started in the adult group lessons. Even getting on the horse (Tufty to start with) was hard but everyone is so supportive and genuinely want to see you improve. I am now cantering and loving it and although still working on my confidence, I would never have got here, had it not been for Chloe, who is an excellent instructor and Emily, reassuring me each week, that I would be ok and I can do it. Team Pinkmead, you are all great 😊

"I just wanted to say a big thank you for running such a brilliant party for Matthew today - he loved it (and was thrilled he got to ride Dolly again who he went on for a party a few months back) and so did all of the others.  You were absolutely brilliant with the little boy with adhd and autism who was incredibly nervous to start but waving and smiling from on top of Blossom like a pro by the end! 

I’d highly recommend you and both my kids are now badgering for horse riding lessons!

"My daughter bought me the Mother’s Day treat of saddle, spa and scones and I loved every minute. Our horses were Eddie and Tufty two gorgeous cobs who were very amazing to ride and Harriet was lovely to talk too whilst out on the hack, Georgie gave an amazing massage and the scones were delicious, would highly recommend this for anyone such a great experience and would definitely book again".

Just a quick email to say, that India HAD THES BEST LESSON the other day with Jay, she really loved it.   Argent pony was perfect for her she loves him. She was a completely different rider with Ella yesterday and she cant wait to come back for her next lesson."

"Jay had a great manner and great patience with all of the girls, including one of my daughter’s friends who was so extremely nervous of horses it was amazing she got on and by the end of the lesson was even having a trot and didn’t want to get off.  Jay was so patient with her and knew just the right amount of pushing her to have a go and acknowledging how she felt.

"Earlier today I called to let Chloe know that my daughter Lucia had struggled after her first lesson in group two. Lucia hasn’t been horse riding for around 3 years and after being assessed in a private lesson was put in to Level 2. Lucia is naturally quite shy and after the 1st lesson felt disheartened as she didn’t know the answers to everything and was nervous about being asked to do certain activities.

Lucia was worried about coming back today but Chloe was brilliant, she checked on Lucia and made sure she understood what she was being asked to do. When Lucia finished she said she’d really enjoyed it and that she couldn’t wait to go again."

"I have been riding at Pinkmead for a few months now. The progress that I have made in this time has been fabulous, and I have so much more confidence. The facilities, horses and staff are first rate. They are so accommodating and answer any questions, either via email, or via your instructor in lesson. Nothing is too much trouble.

 I ride in the adult group lessons, not only do we work on our riding skills, we also fun! We always have a laugh which makes lessons so enjoyable (Although you do work hard, and your legs feel it! ). You ride a variety of beautiful horses and there is an indoor and outdoor school, as well as the beautiful land that you can hack on. 

I would spend everyday here if I could! It’s a great stables and I am so pleased I found my way here!"

"We can't thank everyone enough who helped with the Pony Care week at the start of the month. My 7 year old daughter attended and in her words 'had the best week EVER'.  Each day she came home so excited about everything she had learnt and the friends she had made and couldn't wait to go back the next morning, it's all we have heard about since!  Ella, Harriet and Penny were fantastic and definitely made it a fun, educational and inspiring week for my daughter.  Elsie can not wait now to do more days like these, keep having her lessons and join Saddle Club next year.

"Amazing instructors, we have eight of our own horses and I just don’t have the time to teach my youngest daughter to ride , so sent her to Pinkmead. She has come on in leaps and bounds! Such encouragement at every lesson , she comes home beaming every time and it doesn’t matter who she has teaching her , Louise , Chloe , Tash or Penny it’s always the same ……"

Hi, I just wanted to say how much Lila and her friends enjoyed the pony party. Penny was really great at encouraging everyone, spotting who needed a bit of extra help and accommodating my photo requests! They really enjoyed the games and being able to have a canter. I think it made Lila's year to canter round whilst her friends sang happy Birthday!
